The Iron Man by Design variant for Nova #36. This was a fun piece to wrap my head around. The challenges were to design and illustrate Iron Man (an extremely masculine character [he's a guy in a hotrod suit of armor for god's sake]), in a distinctively effeminate style.

I'm not sure if you captured effeminate or not, but this did make me say "That is some DAMN sexy armor," from a cleanness of line and economy of material perspective while retaining it's function as something you need to be able to move around in to kick some ass.

Ahhh so much love for this!! You're right, it is an effeminate style of drawing, but at the same time I don't think he's lost any of his power or masculinity? It's almost a little vulnerable, like the calm before the storm. I love the cables at the back wired into him. This is fantastic - going on my favourites!
